Premium rotation: protected maps

Let's start off concluding that a certain percentage of people is simply not willing to pay, ever. No matter what you offer for how little. Still though, players are needed to keep the game active.

Now, I do like this rotation system, but I would be a little careful with this. The day you put dm6 on the premium list will be the last day of QL.

Therefore I'd like to suggest making a small pool of protected maps that can't go premium.

My suggestion:
dm6, ztn, dm20 and some CTF maps (I don't know these well). The rest can rotate without affecting the popularity much I think.

ZTN because it's so immensely popular in duel, dm6 and dm20 because they can be played well in many non-CTF gametypes.

mabye 2 out of 4 to 6 good maps.... only protected maps for each mode but there is tons of premium games and pro spawned servers since the changes which is a good things.......

eg duel mode: 2 maps in out of hetik, aero , ztn , tox, dm6, dm13
ffa: whatever, im not really a ffa player so dunoo.. too well, dm6 and overkill seem popular,
ca, dm6, hellsgate,thunderstruck,dm6, dm20, windowpain, quarantine, asylum
ctf: 3w2, spidercrossings, baseseige, fineginns, siberia,

i like the change overall for the better thou, more maps played the better, so hoping that the choice of 3 maps remains, and that players are given a chance to play all maps at some point is a good thing.

only issue i've found is early am :>

yes some people wont subscribe (the ones that wouldnt of in any event) sales are actually up

and i believe 1/3/6/12 month options for subscribing will be possible soon, if rumors are true!

maps definately should be random from SIZE intended for. eg no 2v2 on overkill,coldwar or whatever D:

maybe cycle gametypes too leaving 2 of the current "free game modes" always "procted" and cycle out of the other ones to encourage some of the great modes

Lots of duelers subscribed just to play aerowalk. Same idea with making ztn premium.

There will always be cheap asses that will never pay to play even if standard servers had 4 maps, but there are some non-subscribers that might when pushing the right buttons.

In the end it'll be fun when dm6 goes out of rotation.

So in other words, the Standards would continue to play without having any negatives (other than the ads) since they'd get all their favorite maps for free? No thanks, F2.
