Chicago servers? What happened?
So, I live in Ohio, and my standard "home" location is Chicago. EVERY Chicago server, from EVERY server provider I ping 20 too.
But for some reason quake live Chicago I ping 80, why is this. This is the only Chicago in the world I route too thats 80.
No more then 4 months ago, I pinged 20 with the same ISP.
I was planning on going pro, but, if I can't even play on my standard home location this is kinda silly.

If you send a traceroute to Chicago's server, you'll probably notice some ******** routing when your packets are on level3's hands. Like going to Texas and coming back at the same place for no reason other than their incompetence. Nobody can help you, sadly. It can fix itself tomorrow, or even never.

No, I'm routing completely through chicago, bouncing back and forth to chicago servers until I reach the destination. This isn't on my ISPs end. It leaves my ISPs network after 3 hops. (Standard chicago tracert for me)

Why is quakelive Chicago servers the ONLY Chicago servers where I ping bad too? I guarantee even some people in Chicago ping horrible to these. It's not a good Chicago network. My ISP gets its bandwidth from Chicago
Regardless, obviously within the last 6 months they changed it to a new (cheaper) network, without realizing the repercussions of the situation of mid eastern people. A lot of Chicago aren't active anymore, this is probably why.

I also ping poorly to chicago for no good reason. It's always been that way and I don't think it's gonna change anytime soon.
