Except these are Q3 maps, so don't expect to be able to do half of what's available in these. Different physics and all. Strafe lanes are pretty much a waste of time. CJ practice is okay, though![]()

1)New High. ITS OVER 510!!!!!! lol
2)Getting closer to an average speed of 497 u/s (I can do jumps which are over (500/510) u/s but only like 1 out of 5 times![]()

Great. About time you stopped caring about useless crap and learned how to strafe jump properly![]()
Useless stuff?
Please elaborate so that I can avoid it better.
(If you are joking,)
You won't benefit from having an average 530 ups CJ rather than 520... unless you're gonna play Defrag. Heh.
Either way, you CAN circle jump, and that's about as much as you need right now. Get better at strafing, skimming, switching directions etc etc. Extra 10 ups won't save your life, but running effortlessly through the maps just might.
He is totally right. Now you need to find places where the distance lets you get farther or quicker. Also you might find just because your good at practicing jumps relaxed, try practicing them mid game. The pressure of gunfire and melee can dissolve all your skill, and its like your trying all over again to learn how to use it reliably, under pressure. Spectating others is a great way to learn.
Sorry if this is a n00bish question,(but I am a n00b) but what exactly do you mean when you say that I should get better at skimming and changing directions?
here's a lil demo for you to show you skimming...
