QLPP13 Site Update - July 24, 2012

I was excited about this update up until I started reading that map voting would not be an option until the end of a match, and only getting to choose from 3 possible options. I also feel that removing all of the popular duel maps (dm6/campgrounds isn't really played much anymore unfortunately) from the Standard list for the whole month is a really bad idea. There need to be some "standard" standard maps, and then possibly rotate the less popular or less played maps once a month. There are some good things in this update based on what I've read (I haven't actually played in a few weeks since I'm in the middle of a move), but there are also some really bad moves which will reduce the player base even more.

I am a paid subscriber, and have been since the option was available, so for those of you who are saying "don't be cheap" or "get a job" blah blah blah.... Stop brown nosing. I notice a lot of you have 1k+ posts. Do you actually play the game, or are you elitist forums *****s? Do you not understand the reason people are complaining? As a pro/premium subscriber since it was available, I have only been able to play premium games probably less than 5% of all the games I've played, which 5% is being very generous in my estimation. The reason being is that since I don't feel like sitting in an empty premium server for an undefined amount of time before enough people join, which could literally be hours, I end up joining servers which have users already in them (standard servers). So with this update, there will now be a lower instance of standard users playing at a skill level comparable to my own because of the map choices suck. I can see clan arena still doing ok since Overkill is in the rotation for this month, but I'm SOL if I want to duel something other than Furious Heights or Campgrounds.

Also to Chibers: your post was lame and unhelpful. I'm sure you have a bright future as a color using forum comedian. I hear it pays well. Thanks for that.

driver8: I don't know how you'll make it without Trinity. I actually feel bad for you (even though you think I'm teh hax).

aight, cus from your post where you said "i just witnessed" it sounded like this was right now ^^

cus that would sink the ship if devs run around giving free subs after this update

oh i would like to add, the best part of all this is the ignorance of people who say pay-up, not realizing how many paying users are upset about this.

keep ignoring your own paying mates and you will see what you'll get, asskissers are focusing on is people who haven't subbed yet entirely, but what about the many more that have and will cancel their sub or asked for a working anti-cheat as incentive to pay again?

I'm pretty sure there is a working anti-cheat in place. From my understanding, the admins are not specifically mentioning it because they don't want the people coding the cheats to know exactly where to start when working on their code? I really don't know for sure though, but this is what I seem to recall someone saying at one point. Of course this is just a rumor.

there is something, but it gets outdated i think rather quickly, question is how effective is it cus i caught someone just the other week, and i have no clue what they patched into the update this time =)

the point is, they left the game without anti-cheat for over a year while many subbed and never commented on any requests.

In the bottom left of each post, there's a "sheriff star". That's the reputation system (so your opinion of a single message will influence overall reputation of the poster), but pretty close to liking/disliking :)
