Compete in the last ZOTAC Quake Live Cup
In October 2009 the ZOTAC Quake Live Cup opened its gates for the very first time for casual as well as professional Quake Live players. Now, 33 months later, ZOTAC had to make a very though decision:
Due to the decreasing number of participants and decreasing interest in Quake Live competitive-wise within the eSports scene, this week’s ZOTAC Cup will be the last for Quake Live. As said, it was a hard but necessary decision to make, in order to preserve the high quality service ZOTAC is providing with their tournaments.
We had the honor to follow a big variety of players from all over the world during the last 2.5 years whilst they battled it out for money and glory. ZOTAC wants to thanks everyone who competed and followed the ZOTAC Quake Live Cup. Stories developed throughout the tournament as we witnessed huge upsets and glorious moments week after week. This is also the time to honor the most successful player of the tournament. By winning a third of all ZOTAC Quake Live Cups, Kevin “strenx” Baéza is the unreachable leader in the Hall of Fame.
So, for the last time, let us load our shotguns, grab some shards and make this final a memory worthwhile. Don’t miss the last opportunity to fight for 100 Euro in the last ZOTAC Quake Live Cup this Sunday! (c)Zotac
I apologize in advance for my bad english
muma-zla
3pm on a Sunday, looked for a CTF game and there are 2 pro servers with about 12 people in total in those and ZERO standard games running. That's nobody in the whole of Europe.
edit: took another look before posting this and there are now 4 people on a standard server in Frankfurt. Phew - might get a game after all (even if there is a 'known' player in it who will dominate the game so result is obvious..)
This voting system is ****..You guys really ****ed up these time! And about tiers..cmon last 14 weeks there is no tier/servers..its all green for all..cmon beginners on tier4 server ?
good bye quake live =(
Urgent suggestions:
- Allow pro/premium players to vote for premium maps/game modes on all public servers. Maximum standard players allowed on public servers on premium maps/game modes: 4 per player with pro, 2 with premium. This would fix the issue with having to invite standard players to your own servers just for them to be able to play with you on premium maps. With enough pro/premium players, anyone should be able to play any map/any mode, which would definitely reverse the current trend. Don't like premium/pro voting premium maps/modes for you? go premium/pro. Remember, premium/pro players also deserve to get players to play with them anywhere they should go, because they are paying for this ******* game.
- Allow standard to vote for all standard maps, like before.
- Allow players themselves to set their own tier OR be ranked just like in most other games with 1000+/- ranking, and have ways to know each player's rank in the scoreboard or something like that. I just know tiers are still messed up... more like, definitely not knowing the level of skill of another player in-game is messed up.
