    Would be nice if everyone would automatically get avatar picture of the character they're using in game.
    And premium subscribers could upload or link custom avatars.

    That was swampy's point - he's referring to other forum software that drunk and chill use, not just the QL site. So clearly, all other forums don't cope with it.

    Basically it's a problem on many boards.. I've banned external linking of piccys.. You want to use it..No problem..You snag the piccy you want.
    Upload it to yer photobucket, etc.... At this point you have the funny picture you want.. without the problems from where it was linked to..

    My mods or me should not have to clean up after bad links.. And I think QL took the same stance..

    That's why you have to upload them, and only so many uploads in a given period of time.

    That way there is no hot linking, and total control over the data.

    At least subscriber's only and moderator approval for non-stock avatars, if not further restrictions such as post count and age of the account. If everyone wants to change their avatar every day between non-stock avatars it would easily overwhelm the moderators.
