There are some variables which affect your sensitivity (windows sens settings, in_mouse, m_yaw, m_pitch, acceleration, etc) that you really cannot compare the value of /sensitivity. The best way to compare is measuring cm/360° turn. In general there are "low sensitivity" players with 20-30cm/360° turn, "mid sens" with 10-20cm/360° turn or really "high sens" players with less than 10cm per 360°.

Its really a matter of preference. Most people say that a hogher sensitivity is easier for movement, while a lower sensitivity is better for aiming. Some people play with different sensitivities per weapon or even different sensitivities just when they hold the +attack button (LG for example). Just experiment and stay with what you're comfortable with.

It also depens on who they are playing. But for the main weapons, 40% lightning gun and 70% railgun are quite good. A player like strenx might hit above 50% LG against bad dodgers and a player like k1llsen might hit 80-90% railgun on public servers. Also, 60% rockets with spam is good too imo.

Check out profiles and matches of rapha, cooller, cypher, avekkk, strenx, k1llsen, stermy, spartie, fox, czm, etc to get an idea.

Edit: Good players win duels with overall 25% accuracy against 35%. So "a really good player in this game" isn't necessarily an aim monster. But it helps..

I am relatively new to Quake, but I would recommend playing on lower sensitivities. It helps your precision, as far as I can tell.

I just ordered a Logitech G400 and a Razer Goliathus Control L because I've become so enthralled and want to improve. Welcome.
