Hey good job, I understood what you were trying to show people to do, and for people like me who have limited C drive space it's great! Thanks for the post.

One add on though, in virtualdub you can set frame rate to whatever you set your capture at, so for example 60 fps, and then when you output via save as AVI and import into your video editor you don't have to bump the playback speed. Just go to the top of virtualdub and look under video/frame rate and then click change frame rate to and put in the desired frame rate you captured at.

yep, u r right, worx fine, thx. i remember messing around with VD in the beginning, but it always ****ed up the sound, so i quit. setting VD to 60fps makes sense, probably now its possible to use another program and avoid .wmv (seems buggy @ youtube sometimes, but maybe its my ****ty internet-connection...) WMM on the other hand was the only free program that i found with this speed-setting..

to make wolfcam a bit more flashy and colorful im using this q3mme.fx file (folder: wolfcam/wolfcam-ql/script)
dunno if its executed by default, otherwise:
    seta cg_fxfile "scripts/q3mme.fx"

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mc7if...ature=youtu.be

i think i leave it this way now, most effekts r quite good, not sure about the LG-color yet. but rest seems ok to me. so i upload it here. put more comments into the file, so its easyier to edit, changing colors, making explosions bigger or add more sparks, etc

    the file as text here:

    http://pastebin.com/WyXCFwcf

to use it: create a new textfile in wolfcam/wolfcam-ql/scripts and copy-pasta

i dont know every command, but at least some:

every weapon has up to 4 "elements": Flash, Projectile, Trail, Impact
    "Flash" would be the Fireing-light
"Trail" and "Projectile" seem to work the same way.
    "Impact" well, impact

    some of the commands:
    emitter: lifespan, in seconds
flareshader: smthng like a ball, has "size"
spark: smthing like square, has "size+width"
rand: random. this is very cool, makes every effect singulare.
scale velocity: the speed that particles have from a trail or explosion
wobble: adds an angle to moving stuff from a trail or explosion (90 = rectangle)
lerp: not sure, seems to ad a pulsating effect. i add some in my rockettrail
moveBounce, moveGravity: how particles behave, if they move, what happens when they touch the ground/wall, do they rebounce or stick
colorfade and alphafade: almost the same, but not exactly
distance: how often something happens (was "interval" before wolfcam 8.5. "interval" still works, but its fps-dependend, so recording with low cl_aviframrate makes things look really bad)

different shaders: flareshader, raildisc, smokepuff, different marks (black dust on wall), rocketExplosion. can be replaced

    my wolfcam autoexec:

many keybindings work together with my HUD, anyway
