That is correct, two rings of 10 pellets each. The inner ring pellets do 7 dmg per pellet and the outer ring does 4 dmg per pellet.

This is false.

It is actually three rings, IIRC -- 6 pellets in the center of 9 damage each and two surrounding rings containing 14 pellets which deal 4 damage each.

The console variables g_damage_sg and g_damage_sg_outer serve as my proof. They default to 9 and 4 respectively.
