    Calculate sens: http://www.notalent.org/sensitivity/sensitivity.htm
    Calculate dpi needed: http://h8m3.wippiespace.com/pack/DPI.xls

but I'm not sure if pixel precision (as in no pixel skipping) is really needed in quake live as you don't really move your crosshair by N pixels but by a certain degree. Hard to explain maybe someone can help out?

high pixel precision would be awesome, because of Photoshop and other things i use. i never had problems with my copperhead in this regard. maybe i just should stick to what i'm used to^^

I'm pretty sure when using superhigh sense dpi does count (such as 800 data points vs 14000 for a 360). Give me a few days and I will confirm it (mouse in the mail D: )

Too bad the DPI of the mouse is of no use unless you use a very high screen resolution.

if using 800x600, you would need at least 2400 datapoints for a 360 @ 120fov

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that would require an inch @ 2400 DPI to do a 360 spin. I'm pretty sure most people use more than an inch to do a 360.
Could you explain how you got the amount of datapoints tho?
