wallhacks are possible, but they don't give much advantage even on a medicore level.
real aimbots are easy to spot (crosshair glued to enemys, over 90% hitscan accuracy, etc...)
most people agree on those two. what always is a matter of discussion: 'humanized aimbots'. It possible, there are some videos on yt showing that. It means one can turn down the accuracy of his bot to make him look legit. those are hard to spot and its easy to call even a bad player out as a humanized bot.
well, opinions differ. since its more than possible for a good player to hit >40% accuracy, I personally don't care if someone is using a bot for it.
I'm sure I never faced an aimbot in quakelive. most aimbot accusations come from raged ppl imo.
Edit: Whats your experience with quake? for how long do you play now? what games did you play before? just curious...
It's daft to say there are absolutely no cheaters in QL. Just one search on Youtube is all the proof you need. However I recognise you from some FFA matches on English servers, and I can honestly tell you that no one is cheating there. Recently there's been quite a lot of random lag on the Maidenhead servers, so perhaps this is the source of your problem.

Seems to me that a lot of people have weapons with quad power even when they don't have the real quad.
And when you check their profile, they usually have just recently created a new one and have more games won than lost.
Funny thing is that some of them still suck big time

lol, i can give you a hint on your searching for the answer, do ppl cheat or not...
it is possible to make every possible enemy completely green, which is totally different for human AND computer eye then all others players and map environment :-)

I get accused of cheating every time I play QL, and I'm not even very good. People are really paranoid. In the rare occasions you come across a cheater, chances are you will never know they have cheated, because they cheat to gain fake respect in the community, and don't want to be caught.
It's all really sad.
