So I can't let a friend create/use another account on one of my computers on my LAN? I've never done it with QL, but in the past with Q3, I've had several people playing at the same time. If ID picks up another account using my IP such as would be happening at a LAN party, my account gets banned?

by the rules i know you are allowed to have 2 accounts,more than that is ban since they know your ip and can track it.....i tried ip hide test on ql but i couldn't connect on my account until i turn off hide ip so you cant avoid them....

pff nobody even cares about multiple accounts. most people have more than 2 accounts. most of the mods/admins/etc. have a ton of accounts. all the pros have alts that they train with. that rule might as well be removed, because nobody follows it and nobody cares (if people were banned for multiple accounts, then the people banning them would be massive hypocrites).

i, personally, have about 6 accounts.

They don't care it makes them be able to say "we have X # of active players. Not enforcing the rules makes them look better.

yeah, youre right, i have 6 accounts, but i only play on 1. so i guess only 1/6 of all ql accounts are active?

although, it turns out that only 4% of all accounts are active. hmmm... impressive numbers.

well i for one did not know having multiple accounts was not allowed. I have multiple accounts and will delete them now that it has been brought to my attention. the reason behind having multiple accounts was for stats, I would only duel with one account, ca with another and ctf with another, that way i get to see my stats depending on what game type i'm playing, that was the reasoning behind it, never did follow through with the plan though... ; )

are we able to see stats for only matches we dueled in??? im pretty sure you cant but ive missed stuff before... perhaps they can add this feature, the more stats they can produce the better.... we should also be able to start fresh or something, like zero out the stats, specially if they are going to frown upon us having multiple accounts. I know if i started a new character my stats would go up, but you will always have the issue of game types.

for example, in ca i rocket jump and spam the shiat out of rockets more so than any other game type... there should be a zero point type thing added to the stats, like from this date i zeroed out and here are my new stats or you can see my overall stats ever since ive been playing, not sure if this is making sense but ya, that is a reason i used multiple accounts. find a solution id ..... ; )

Most of this would be avoided if they let us change our names to something not currently being used with limits on how often you can change it. :/
