I have vista and i dont know how to open the demos because like if i have vista what shall i open the demos with media player or what?

vista has nothing to do with it. You open the demos in quake live. To view a demo open console and type /demo demo0001 or whatever the name of the demo is. Or you can download Quake Live Demo Tools to view and browse them.

But whenever i go /record demo1 it makes the game crash do i do it in practice game or what and what i am also asking is that when ilook in my demos folder it opens with media player.. so that doesnt work what software do i open it with???
