    its incomplete, but it has all the proper terms. i used to call it a clip too (i wouldnt be surprised if i helped start the term in QL), but now i call it a skim because thats what it is.

    its just like id and ID.

    wallstrafing doesnt even need to be explained imo. rebounces and stickies and all that other stuff are on the list, theres just no info on them yet (i dont understand why, because theyre really simple).

    but, anyway, serious time now.

    im too lazy to name the demo, but the time is 8.280 i think

    we need an "official" demo format. something like map(mm-ss-msx)type(name.country)
    like "falloutbunker(00-08-280)mode.1(KittenIgnition.Canada).dm_73"

    Nice run, a vast improvement over the previous time, but still room for improvement.

    I guess a good naming format would be:
    Mapname[Type.Physics.Style]Time(Name.Country.Clan){AdditionalInfo}

    FC/DF/FS = Fastcap of a CTF map/Speedrun of a DeFRaG Map/Freestyle of any map
    VQL/VQ3/CPM = Quake Live physics/Quake III physics/Challenge promode physics
    Style1/Style2/Style3 = Strafe Run/Weapons Run/Assisted or interesting runs
    The rules for these three styles would be the same as the rules on speedcapture.com

    For example:
    CobaltStation[FC.VQL.Style1]00.02.969(fraggedICE.England.Discord){FromRedBase}

    This is pretty similar to how they were named in DeFRaG.

    -pls name your demo! Best format is: Yournick_map_Strafe/Weapons_Time
    U may add your Country but rest is not needed. There is no question about physics, gamemode etc.
    If u have something that dont fits the geneal rules u may describe it in your post and i will add it in a special place, not at maptimes(exapmle: rampjump, mines, scoutrune,...). But it has to be something special, not only the regular run done 2 sec faster with scout rune...

    physics type isnt necessary unless either cpm comes out, or we start doing "oldschool/newschool" settings, where the "oldschool" settings would have stepheight 18, no stepup, no air steps, and newschool would have stepheight 22 and all that stuff.

    following defrag for the naming is good, but a lot of the stuff is unnecessary. all we need is player, map, time, and mode.


    also i was only working on falloutbunker for tops half an hour. i dont think i have the dedication to QL fastcaps to run for over an hour, especially with the awkward physics. it feels really awkward and sloppy compared to vq3/cpm.


    regarding the OP(s), it would be cool if you mentioned which times were added when editing the post. for example, on the last edit, you only added fallout bunker (fraggedice's time), so you could add "falloutbunker mode1" to the "reason for editing" thingy.

    FraggedICE, looks like you have room for improvement too

    my main problem was the end (and most of that was the turn at the top of the stairs), and i improved that quite a bit. good luck with this one

    LOL, I wondered why I beat it in under 10 mins lol, this run is much nicer and I don't want to try to beat it :P GJ
