He was NOT right,servers used to dynamicaly adjust tier level based on the average skillrating of players on the server but this was changed and now a tier 3 server will ALWAYS be a tier 3 server and...

I`ve had a premium FFA server running most evenings in the UK for the last 2 weeks now and it stays pretty full up to about midnight.

I"m actually tier 2 now...which is quite silly but thats how the skillrating system works at the moment.

I don't understand why you didn`t understand this part of the link stownr gave you..

As an FFA player I can say with a lot of confidence that they joined the tier 4 server because it was the most populated at the time and the tier 3 servers were not populated at that time.

I am "the evidence" I do it all the time,like I`ve said.

He obviously got bumped up to tier 4 after that match,,like i said.....people can got up and down pretty quickly if they are around the borderline of skill between 3 and 4.

That is not true,tier 4 FFA players cannot join tier 3 FFA matches. I know this as a fact because i bounce between both regularly,sometimes as quickly as 2 matches.

Handicap should be removed comletely from quake live,certain players are using it to boost their accuracy stats. (no names...forum rules) etc...

Reporting cheaters helps everyone...not just yourself.
If they really are cheating,of course.
