I had the same problem. Putting "bot_minPlayers 0" in your autoexec is a quick work-around, but I wish id would fix it properly.

So there's been no changes to your comp. that you know of and you go from 125 to 1 fps? I haven't noticed anything here and I always play with bloom to desaturate the colors a bit, so it shouldn't be...

...which does exactly the same as my suggestion - only easier :) It removes movement animation, but not fire animation unfortunately.

I don't know how to remove the fire animation, but (and you probably know this already) movement animation can be disabled:
Game Settings -> Advanced -> Weapons -> Gun Model -> Still.

I'd already tried 0x00 after reading that it was some sort of catch-all key, but I didn't realize it was single key-press only. I'm sure I'll find some other use for it though :)

Menu key

I use the arrow keys for movement and right control for jump, so the menu key would be perfect for +speed for instance.

I can't play Q3 for 3 minutes without it crashing. Also, people to play with is always a plus, so QL wins there as well.

Not if you meet someone proficient with any of the other mid-range-to-close weapons. You won't have time to spam rockets long enough to do any damage.

I disagree completely. You can get a damage ding from splash pretty easily, but you're not dealing any real damage unless you're good at it.

What do you mean? A "click weapon" compared to what?
