How do you use SweetFX with QL? Do you just paste the SweetFX files into home/baseq3? Or do use it via RadeonPro - but in this case you would need an executable which QL lacks...?

Almost any of the popular duel, ca and ffa maps are good for practicing movement, efficient movement in itself isn't very map specific apart from useful jumps like bridge to rail on Campgrounds.
That's because when spectating, you don't see the animation of switching from one weapon to another. It still takes the same amount of time for them to fire after switching.

Higher than what? The highest I know is rapha's sens of around 20cm/360 on 400dpi with around 0.5 accel. Maybe someone has more accurate numbers but still that's the fastest pro sens probably....

If you like the way the mouse feels and if there are no technical issues with it then stick with it. If your mousepad is large enough to not run out of space and you like the amount of friction on it...

Too high of a DPI can have downsides - the sensor can detect movement when you don't intend it to.

I disagree with this. In 12-player FFA you can benefit from item timings just the same as in 8-player FFA. There are several things to consider here.
1. 12-player server's aren't always filled up...
