If you're playing a public TDM, why not join a regular TDM server? I think the respawn is 10 seconds.

I had this same suggestion, because it worked 100x better in "other games" when weapons stayed in large multiplayer FFAs. It removed the issue that QL has of most of the kills/deaths of the 'average'...
