improve it by joining instagib servers. also i sometimes think the shotgun is a lot like the railgun. it has similar mechanics just like the rocket + bfg, or plasma + machine gun.. just my opinion.

good tip is dont play out of your comfort zone, try to perfect what you do good, even better, i.e. dont attack so hard, if you arent really an aggressive player.
