Why are you adding an AVI to vdub to render to AVI? you already have your AVI clip. All you need to do is drop it in vegas or w/e and edit.

There's no special time to use a flick rail. Just do it if you feel like you need to. Do you know how to strafe jump well? If not, you should practice that.
