Well apparently I was completely wrong. After looking deeper into this and running it by a few people, it seems like this is intended behavior. It was set up this way so Insta-playing users...

So I emailed Support about this and here is their response:

ok I know this is an older thread, but what is the point of unranked?

If I play in an unranked game it can raise or lower my tier (had it happen many times) also I just noticed it will also raise...

Why can't we have a Rocket Arena option in CA? people been asking and wishing for this since the beginning of QL.

How about a 3 team option in CA and TDM so that when you have 3 people on a server you dont have to play 2v1 or 1v1 while 1...
