Well yeah, the damage done @the mega is minimal, you're just simply not fast enough to get to RL before he enters the mega spot, it's usually at the same exact time, or him being slightly faster.

Well, most players I've played grab the mega, run to sg/shards then to YA and either drop down to the rail jumppad or go across the pillars to the RL, and try to deny you the RA.

Watched the first 3 minutes of your ztn game and : 1) you have no timing 2) your movement isn't that great and finally, you don't NEED to go after every weapon if you could pick some armors instead.

Because when you ping high, you can use lower TL, to compensate for the lag and use the tip of the lg beam as a crosshair.
With 15 ping, you should stick to TL 1.
