F2. While I like the idea, this would be too strong on any water map.
Even though Quake isn't about realism it just doesn't feel right without lightning discharge like Q1 had, so yes I'd definitely like to see that implemented as a standard feature... but that will never happen.

sort of. we are using that water conducts electricity.

F1: the best would be some short of (distance based) damage falloff, but dunno how hard that would be to implement (tracing things like where the cells are hitting the water, etc). Perhaps it would be easier to do something like what kamikaze does, so if a player would fire shaft underwater (would only work there), it would give damage to everybody inside a given radius and would deplete all cell immediately .
