I've got a lot of demos in my ... demos folder.
I can't seem to find an awesome game from a couple of hours ago (I can see the one before it and the one after it) in the folder.
Any idea what can cause that ? The Recoder is set to demo at all times.

Maybe your name wasn't added to the demo's name. Try listing them by date instead of name.
Happened to me many times.
Listed by date. My name isn't added on many demo names, but the problem here could be that the demo wasn't saved. I only see 6 demos with today's date, and I've played 7 games.Quote:

the cg_autoaction isnt perfect, and under certain cercumstances (or completely randomly), it doesnt record demos. it really pisses me off when i land an INSANE shot and look at the bottom of the screen to make sure im recording, and the recording text isnt there. but it happens, and hasnt been fixed.
I had 8-9 awesome shots in that game, probably my ONLY game with more then 2 awesome shots.Quote:

trust me, ive missed hundreds of spectacular moments because of the fail autoaction. and 100% of the time, i only check if its recording RIGHT when i land the shot, and then its not recording.Quote:

Don't worry, in 6 months you'll see all your "awesome" shots and think, "man was I noob back then".
hey im xperiencing issues with demos. They will not always record even tho it's set to auto record every match. I always watch my demos so id luv 2 get them all. thnx
Yea, I have this problem too. I only realized when I wanted to replay a nice frag. Autoaction doesn't always start recording.
Temporary solution:
Turn on the recording notification (cl_demoRecordMessage 1), and when you don't see it, start the recording yourself. Use a simple "\record" (bind it), that will name the file automatically so you won't accidently rewrite an existing one.
noted, but the problem is convenience. I'm about to play a duel, and I have to think about my demo? ruins my thought process. Will cope but Id love to have that resolved.
